Who can buy your products?
Our professional quality supplements are offered to individuals at a retail price with the guidance of their healthcare practitioner. We also sell our products directly to healthcare professionals at special physician pricing with a signed re-sellers agreement and valid practicing license. What product testing does Metabolic Maintenance do?
Metabolic Maintenance has a rigorous and routine testing policy. Upon receipt, all goods are examined and all products with a corresponding Certificate of Analysis are verified. Product is then moved to our Quality Assurance department, where raw material is tested for micros (bacterial colony count, yeast/mold, E. coli, coliforms), metals (arsenic, cadmium, lead, and mercury), as well as identification. All herb raw materials, soft gels and capsules are tested for Salmonella. Finished goods are again tested for micros and gluten prior to bottling.
Do you manufacture your own supplements?
Yes. We manufacture supplements in our own state-of-the-art facility in Sisters, Oregon. Every step of the manufacturing process exceeds the FDA requirements for nutritional supplement manufacturing. Metabolic Maintenance is dedicated to exemplary cleanliness. Each piece of equipment used in the manufacturing of our supplements is dismantled and sanitized, before every new production run. This includes scales, blenders, powder filling components, encapsulating machines and capsule counters.

Orders are shipped prepaid by check, Discover, MasterCard, VISA or American Express.

Do you take Health Insurance or Health Savings Account (HSA) Cards?
Most HSA cards and health insurance companies do not recognize nutritional supplements as prescriptions and will not cover their purchase.
Can I order Metabolic Maintenance products without a prescription?
Consumers are able to purchase retail product without a prescription however we encourage you to speak to your healthcare provider before taking any supplements or changing your diet.
Can I buy Metabolic Maintenance products on Amazon?
Metabolic Maintenance products can be found on Amazon, however we work with only one distributor by the name of “Fortress Brand” and products are priced 5% above our retail price. All other resellers on Amazon are selling illegally and we cannot guarantee the quality of their product. Purchasing product from an illegal reseller on Amazon is risky because we cannot guarantee that the product has not expired, been altered, or has otherwise met our rigorous purity standards. Purchasing product from anyone other than “Fortress Brand” is at your own risk.
Where do you source your ingredients?
We base our selection of ingredients on purity, quality, bioavailability and ethically sourced. We only purchase raw materials from proven industry leaders, including the finest suppliers from the U.S., France, Japan, and Italy. We test all raw ingredients using independent certified laboratories. Ingredient suppliers must meet rigorous testing and quality criteria to qualify as a Metabolic Maintenance supplier.
Is everything in the capsule listed on the label?
We provide full disclosure in our labeling. Our supplement labels have always listed all ingredients, including the composition of the raw material. Additionally, standardizations of herbal extracts are provided to indicate primary active marker compounds. Also, minerals are listed by their true elemental weights.
Do your products contain artificial ingredients or common food allergens like gluten and dairy?
Our products are free from wheat, gluten, nuts, egg, dairy, preservatives or hydrogenated oils, unless specifically noted on the label. Our products contain no hidden coatings, excipients, binders, fillers, shellacs, artificial colors, artificial flavors or fragrances. We do not use magnesium stearate, preservatives, BHA or BHT in our products.
Are you Kosher?
No. Our products are not certified as kosher.
What is the source of your Vegetarian Capsules?
The capsules are made from Southern Pine, grown in the UK. The pine is pesticide free and sustainable.
Are Metabolic Maintenance ingredients organic?
While we do always try to source certified organic ingredients, we are sometimes unable to find organic ingredients that meet our strict microbial standards.
Do your products contain Gluten? Nuts? Egg?
No, none of Metabolic Maintenance products contain gluten, lactose, nuts/peanuts or egg.
Do any Metabolic Maintenance products contain soy?
Most Metabolic Maintenance products are soy-free; however, there are 2 ingredients used in the line derived from soy, (soybean oil and Phosphatidylserine). All products that contain soy are clearly labeled.
Do I take my supplements with meals or between meals?
General recommendations can be found on each product label.
Can your products be taken during pregnancy or lactation?
Metabolic Maintenance does not make recommendations concerning the use of products during pregnancy or lactation. Some products may have known contra-indications, while the effects of others have not been studied. Please consult your physician for specific recommendations.
